Yes, even Hagia Sophia has a kitty and she seemed to be quite popular with the visitors, especially the younger ones.

Hi Murat
You don't really expect to see a cat in a mosque but it certainly attracted attention. A good interesting trio of photos.

Hello Murat,
Cats have a way of creating a nice atmosphere, and in a spectacular place like this it gets even nicer. A stray dog would probably not have been as much appreciated here. I like how the religious rituals are not disturbed by the patting and caressing. The light and surrounding colours are very nice.

Hello Murat,

I liked the curved introduction to the scene and how the green and gold colours linked the scene together. I was also interested to see the picture on the phone; it looked as a review, since the figures on screen were no longer present.

Then I saw the cat!
Could anything be more unexpected; a cat in a mosque!
How lovely that it was both tolerated and fussed over!

Daily life of the HS visitors, could be better with ISO less than 800, Murat, to off-set harsh chandeliers light indoor's.

Very unusual to see a cat living in a religious building.
When I was in Istanbul in 1983 I visited a mosque where a stork lived in the garden. I'm not sure anymore if it was the Ey�p Mosque. But it was in that part of town.

Hi Murat,
this is so cute and charming. Obviously it was hard to capture the cat well while at the same time showing actually the interior but you made a good job balancing these two aspects. Yes I think my daughter is still at the stage that of the visit to Hagia Sophia she would enjoy the cat much more... which makes my travel plans not easy :)
