A view of the town of Hasankeyf in eastern Turkey. If you look carefully, you will spot the bridge over the Tigris River. Larger view fullscreen:

This town is earmarked to be submerged by the new dam downstream. The cliffs along the river are honeycombed with caves like Cappadocia where people once lived.

Hello Chris,
One of the interesting places in Turkey I haven't seen and most likely I never will. There have been many fascinating photos of this town on TE but generally from much closer, so this wide view at a distance is interesting. The scenery reminds me of so many other parts of central and eastern Turkey. The colours are great.

Hello Chris,

Our modern time do not take into account the beautiful old villages, why the river the village distroying.
A wonderful panorama with depth and perspective.

A well found POV withn the slope dominationg the left side of the landscape scenery.
The valley beautifully colored by green fields and plantation, town houses along one main road.

This is a spectacular of this town destined to become a divers' paradise. Your photo is also destined to become historic. The arid mountains are much different from the green hills of northwestern Turkey.
