Photographer's Note
Another view that no longer exists. Most of this is now underwater from the Ilisu Dam reservoir. Taken in 2014 before the water rising 200 feet submerged 80% of Hasankeyf. Only the portion at top left may have been relocated.

Hello Chris,
I couldn't say exactly what we see here unless the title of the photo had told me. This is not as spectacular as some other sites that were destroyed and lost forever in this town, but it's still really sad to see ancient treasures like these disappearing. This photo is part of your important documentation of Hasankeyf while it still existed.
Best regards,
Gert

Bonjour Chris,
La composition est bien divis馥, le ciel, la falaise et les ruines. La prise de vue permet de voir les d騁ails des ruines de la Mosqu馥 Koc. La qualit de la lumi鑽e embellit les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journ馥.

Hello Chris,
Such a pity that this area has just been flooded! The ruins look great and their shapes make a great contrast with the smoother cliffs behind them. Excellent sunlight and a perfectly blue sky.

Hello Chris, thankfully you took this series of pictures so that we are able to view something no longer available if we were to visit this region.
It's really sad that this site has been drowned!
Your usual sharp quality.
Thanks for sharing, kind regards, Jean.

Hi Chris
The only Obvious part of this photos is that it is ruins and all the pity that they are now under water. Excellent in the large view.

Hi Chris,
this is very interesting reportage from a world which can be only seen while diving. Great weather day with the dark blue sky. Great light made even the grey ruins to stand out here.
That makes me also aware how precious the TrekEarth gallery actually is, having so many photos from all over the world and also taken in various times, so pity it will probably cease to exist like the place which you show.

Hello Chris,
I bet you that mosque was originally a chapel, it doesn't look like a typical mosque.
