Photographer's Note
A deserted alley at blue hour after the day tourists have left for the day. I stayed overnight so no rush to walk back to my hotel. The town is north west of Ankara and south of Amasra on the western Black Sea coast. It's famous for its traditional old wooden Turkish Ottoman houses.

Bonsoir Chris,
Bonne soir馥.

Hello Chris,
I wanted to go to Safranbolu but it was too far when I was in Istanbul. The empty street looks romantic but a bit creepy. Pity for this parking car. always such a nuisance for photographers. beautiful blue hour shot.

Hello Chris,
I was here in 2012 but I can't say that I recognize this particular street. You captured a fine evening atmosphere with very nice light and colours. I spent one night here too, staying in one of those old buildings converted into hotels. I had a very odd but beautiful room.
Kind regards,

Fine view downhill's on the alley, Chris, though I'd detour the car somehow, maybe 2m to the left would show more view onwards. But after all, tourists have not many options, we atke what being available at a certain time.
Blue-hour photo par-excellence.
Good evening,

Hello Chris,
It's a fine blue hour shot.
The warmth of the artificial lights below the deep blue sky are very welcoming.
You have chosen a fine viewpoint, capturing the context and the details of the buildings whilst, also, creating an excellent sense of depth.
Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Hi Chris
Beautiful blue hour image with great use of contrasting colours - blue and yellow look great together. The lamp in the middle of the photo looks like a star in the sky!
I really wanted to go there but it was too far away from my route. Maybe next time! :)
Best wishes

Hi Chris. A charming place which in my humble opinion produces the best turkish delight in the world. It reminded of the old part of Sarajevo or Mostar. Lovely mood and excellent exposure. Asa for the Ottoman houses, the "renovations" are changing the nature of the place. Our young guide was most upset at the lack of control of demolitions of old houses and materials used in upgradings of those that were fixed. Still, there is still a strong Ottoman feel to the place. Regards. Klaudio.
