AtlasGlobal for Ike, a photo from Istanbul, Marmara

Photographer's Note

As the last photo in this series, I am uploading a view of the AtlasGlobal Airbus A321-200 descending to Atat�rk International Airport for Ike (ikeharel), as seen from Emirgan seashore. Ike usually posts photos of flights taking off from Ben Gurion Airport, so I thought I would return the favor, guessing this would be an airline he has not seen. It is not as crisp as I would like as I picked up the camera and shot as I heard it fly overhead.

This airline was established on March 14, 2001 in Istanbul as Atlasjet. It was renamed AtlasGlobal in 2015. AtlasGlobal is the first IATA member, IOSA certified private airline in Turkey. AtlasGlobal flies to more than 50 destinations in 35 different countries. It operates scheduled flights within Turkey and to Asia, Russia, CIS Region, Middle East and Europe.

PS. I thank Ike Harel, who contributed to the workshop a much sharper image of another AtlasGlobal A321 taking off from Ben Gurion.

Ike genellikle Ben Gurion Havalimanı'ndan kalkan u輹şların fotoğraflarını gderir, bu y�zden ben de mukabele ettim, bunun gmediği bir havayolu olduğunu tahmin ettim. Yukarıdan ge輻iğini duyunca fotoğraf makinesini alıp 軻ktiğim i輅n istediğim kadar net değil.

Bu havayolu şirketi 14 Mart 2001 tarihinde İstanbul'da Atlasjet olarak kuruldu. 2015 yılında AtlasGlobal olarak yeniden adlandırıldı. AtlasGlobal, T�rkiye'nin ilk IATA �yesi, IOSA sertifikalı el havayolu şirketidir. AtlasGlobal, 35 farklı �lkede 50'den fazla noktaya u輹yor. T�rkiye ve Asya, Rusya, BDT Bgesi, Orta Doğu ve Avrupa'ya tarifeli seferler d�zenliyor.

Hello Murat, I am sure that Ike will appreciate the picture and the dedication. Good composition with the aircraft against the blue sky and the sharpness is also OK. I haven't heard about the AtlasGlobal but there are so many airlines nowadays.

Thanks for the gesture, Murat nicely taken when it was on the landing path to Ataturk int. Airport.
Most times I take planes picture with 1/800 or even 1/1250 exp. + exp. bias of 1/3, Iso 100 or 125 .
Well placced within the frame. I once taken Atlas Airbus pictures upon take-offon a Saturday back in 2016. Maybe I will find its file and pst as a WS.

Hi Murat, perfect capture of this airbus and interesting note about this private company from your country. I will fly with Turkish soon going in Uzbekistan and i hope to have a nice trip like in the last year when i goes in Georgia changing in Istanbul. A great dedication for Ike,i like it! A nice dedication to Ike. I might have switched the setting to sport's action. You'd be surprised at how sharp it can make moving subjects. But anyway the blue sky makes a fine backdrop to this red and white aircraft. Tfs!
