Selfie in Amasra, a photo from Bartin, Black Sea

Photographer's Note

I do hope the tide was going out and not coming in, or this selfie taking couple might be trapped on a rock for 6 hours! Taken in Amasra on the Black Sea coast. In the bg is Boztepe Island reached by a stone bridge. I've added saturation and contrast to allow for a dull, overcast day with flat lighting and washed out colours.

Lep pogled i trenutak, dobar tekst ...
Lepo pokazano, dobra perpsektiva i kontrast, lepe boje, lepo uhvacen trenutak.

What an amazing scene from Amasra captured with perfect pov and sharpness.
I do not have anything against this selfiemania but recently I've noticed a scene during the funeral of a friend of mine where one of his relatives was taking a selfie together with the coffin !
Anyway, also this mode will disappear once. But when, I don't have any idea.

It would seem that many people intent on taking selfies lose all sense of location and time. You present us with an agreeably balanced landscape composition. The selfy takers on their own little island serve to give the composition depth and perspective. Very agreeable natural colours and superb sharpness with beautifully rendered textural detail.

A wonderful sight of the small rock-island and the two standing on it, but why they had to climb it? fine view is allowed from the waterfront...
The houses across the bay added beautiful red and beige typ[ical Italian colors and with excellent focal upon.

Hello Chris,
People have met their sudden death when taking selfies in the wrong places. I hope these persons made their way safely back to the mainland. It's a very nice photo from that pretty little town. Fine rocks in the foreground, a very nice distant view of colourful buildings on the hill, and something interesting going on in the niddle.

Hello Chris,
Without wet feet they didn't get on top of this rock.
However, your point of view is much more interesting than theirs.
The huge rock and the smaller ones on the foreground add much depth to the picture.
It's a beautiful coastline with most houses built quite a distance above the sea level.

Hello Chris,
I could fall in love with Amasra, this is a very charming place. I wonder how much an apartment on Boztepe Island would cost. The tide in the Black Sea is not like the tide of the oceans, they should be able to get back although they might have to get their feet wet.
