Butterfly Bay View, a photo from Mugla, Aegean

Photographer's Note

A view of Butterfly Bay from the beer and cola hut perched on the cliff. I had a cola. There is an easy graded stairway path and it's not as high up as it looks here. These tour boats depart from Oludeniz just around the corner. A swim here is cold and refreshing on a hot summer's day. Did not see a single butterfly.

Hello Chris,
I would certainly have preferred a beer. I never have any sweet drinks. The little bar had a fine view, especially of the colours of the sea. I also like the fairly dense vegetation immediately above the sandy beach.

The clear water looks wonderful here in this lovely calm bay and its green and blue tones are amazing. You show the water, the beach with people and the boats in the background from an excellent viewpoint.

I confess I've never seen butterflies on a beach either.
In order to find them there, flowers must first grow on the spot, I think.
Anyway the transparent water has several beautiful blue tones.
Must be a nice place at the coast, ideal for a swim and relaxing with a drink.

This high viewpoint is just great. The beach seems to be quite popular. It is a nice small trip on a boat to visit such a place. Underwater details show clearly from this angle.

This beautiful beach with transparent waters of a beautiful blue, seems to be protected by the cliff, with which its waters look calm as in a pool, typical of tourist boats to spend a pleasant morning.

Maybe looking from above it looks like a butterfly :)
The water is so crystal clear! I am not a fan of pebble beaches but for this water clarity it is worth it.
I see people usually arrive there by the boats.

the hues of blue of the water are marvelous ( I want to see something similar in my next trip) anyway these beaches with pebbles aren't so comfortable. excellent image,
