Bahar Kor軋n, who led the organization of the event, emphasized that Turkey has become one of the world's leading textile production centers by making investments in the production in textile sector. Kor軋n said that as a result, machines became much more important than design and fashion in the sector.
The fashion designers who organized the event all have international experience and most have put their names on the world fashion map by now. With this project they believe they will open a new page in Turkish fashion history.
Ser stated that 溺imar Sinan University Fine Arts Faculty dedicated Tophane-i Amire Building especially to support the Fashion Designers' Association. 典he architecture and the building itself is very important. This historic building can still be used today, said Ser.
For the participating designers the fact that the association is coming together means a lot. The designers think that the project carries importance for the young and developing sector.
展e will create an amiable example for the other sectors. There are two outcomes of the value we create: One of them is promoting and describing Istanbul and its relation with art and culture. The other one is transacting art into economy, said Ser and added, 溺y brand is sold in more than 100 countries around the world.
The second fashion lab will be wider and will include more fashion designers. 展e plan to give a place to young talents, said Ser.
