Photographer's Note

There is part of the old Dubai that one can feel like in India.
It is not so strange because Indians in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) constitute the largest part of population of the country. Over 3,420,000 Indian migrants are estimated to be living in the UAE, which is over 27 percent of the total population of the UAE. Indian contact with the emirates that now constitute the UAE dates back several centuries, as a result of trade and commerce between the emirates and India.

The very busy narrow streets, Indian shops and two small temples. It fascinated me so much that I went there several times to enjoy the atmosphere.
Isn't this Indian girl a beauty? She posed for me with her brother, I took more photos but this one is more candid.
You will see two more nothing special pictures in the Workshops. In one, the scene in the shop with the typical offerings. In the second one the scene near the temple. When this old guy sitting under the tree saw me, he invited me to go to the temple but asked not to take pictures inside. There were few tourists there, mainly Indian locals.
