Photographer's Note
I am very sorry that I didn't spend more time in Aden.
Aden is the second largest city of Yemen and its the former capital of South Yemen, the comunist state when Yemen was divided in two.
The city is low on the traditional tourist attractions: it is mostly modern with ramshackle buildings and busy dirty streets, although set in a n amazing Capetown like setting, but there is a sense of urban energy lacking elsewhere in Yemen. Maciekda and M_S_S stayed longer in here.
This man was a fisherman in Aden's fishing market. You can see how he has some african traits due to Yemen's proximity to the horn of africa.

Bonjour Daniel,

Le tilt ne me d駻ange pas du tout. Tu as utilis le flash ?
Bon samedi,
St駱h.

Hello Daniel,
Nice portrait, the colors and sharpness are very good, good use of the flash for filling. Iエm not so sure abou the choice on the inclined horizon...

Good job here Daniel with showing both the boy and the world around him, a perfect environmental portrait. The mountain range in the background looks quite dramatic.
We hit Morocco on Monday to begin our adventure, shall be in contact soon!

Daniel: without looking at photographer's names, the same favorites keep coming up. Usually I'm a stickler about horizons and not a fan of fill-flash. Both worked great for you here, friend. c

Hola Daniel

Hi Daniel!
A very well captured shot! The fisherman is chrystal clear, with wonderful skin tones. His expression is great with his focus to the side. The interesting sloped horizon really works here, and you have managed a perfect DOF. All around great shot, cheers,
Steve

Wow, your people shots lately are national geographic quality. I love the way you have composed this image. It's a combination of up close portrait and scenery shot combined. The lighting is perfect all around. Did you use a flash here too?

Hi Daniel!
This reminds me to Cape Verde, the steep and deserted mountans and the skin tones of this young man.A nice portrait of him with good light at his face.

Hello Daniel,
Je pense qu'il y a un petit coup de fill in tr鑚 bien dos.
Une tr鑚 belle image !
Bonne journ馥 toi.

This is really a splendid portrait, not only have you found a great model but the presentation too is excellent, with the emphasis on the face getting lots of light (great idea to have used the flash) ; I like the tilt too !
I'll add it to my list of 2nd favorites,
Congratulations and best regards !
Cath. (zut, c'est vrai, je me souviens trop tard que tu parles aussi le fran軋is : pour la prochaine fois ! :))

Hello Daniel,
This is one hell of a good portrait, with the young fisherman and its look to the left being most appropriate to avoid the snapshot look.
The way the photo tilts to the left too doesn't bother me a bit as it adds dinamism to it.
The flash was well used here to get full details on his face without leaving any spots on his face.
Very good photographic work you have here.
Cheers.
