Photographer's Note

A picture of a thunderstorm (supercell?) moving over Killbear Peninsula in Ontario, Canada.
In just 5 minutes, the skies turned from fairly clear to the darkest I've ever seen!
This is just one of the series of photos I took in rapid sequence before we had to take cover in the car - I wasn't sure which one's more dramatic so I posted the rest on http://borkaonline.com/thunderstorm_killbear.html

Clearly a powerful Culumunimbus.
Very nice dramatic depiction of the "wall" of the cloud and the following storm, didn't you experience a sudden very powerful wind emating from the cloud?

Some slight noise in the shot, but I woulden't expect to stay to long outside myself!

Wow. An impressive panoramic shot of an incoming thunderstorm. You have given the impression that the cloud is heavy and waiting to burst...perfect moment I suppose. Yes a little noise, but the drama overcomes that quite well.

Simply WOW. Great capture of the storm cloud. Very impressive, I like the light area in the top and how it darkens as the eyes decend to the ground. TFS Rodney

You captured this well. I couls imagine this developing into a tornado. You kept the horizon low to give the sky more weight.
