Photographer's Note
When you walk around lake Ohara this is what the shoreline looks like around the bend at the west end. Behind the trees in the background is Mary Lake and up on the left behind me is Seven Veil falls. If you visit Lake Ohara I highly recommend you to walk around the lake in both directions because it will bring you different viewpoints. The trail around the lake is also part of the access trails which take you up to other trail hikes into the mountains. Enjoy.

Paul,
The color and clarity of water is amazing. What caught my eye was the stump at the base of the tree line. With the water reflection it looks like a big whale or "lake monster" opening his jaw to swallow something. Beautiful.

Hi Paul
another great canadian scene.
like everyone will say, the FG with the clear water is very interesting to view, allowing us to see the scrambled mess below.
the tree line is angled smartly, dividing the scene into two, seperating the water and mountains.

Hi Paul, When I visit Lake Ohara I wiill walk in both direction, as you recommend. It is truth that when you walk or drive you see different view on both way. So when it happens that I loose my way and must return, I do not mind. But in fact I probably will not visit Canada.
Beautiful photo, the water is so crystal clear so you can well see what is in it.
Warm regards

Hi Paul,
You show us here some great detail of this peaceful, calm lake. The rocks and branches submerged under the cold, shallow water look spectacular set under the reflections of the lake surface and creates wonderful depth. The rough texture of the towering mountainside behind the lake serves as a good backdrop. As said in your note, it is a great place to wander in both directions. Well done,
Matt
