Photographer's Note
We were hiking up Mr. Parke on Mayne Island for a spectacular view of the Gulf Islands. We weren't expecting to see eagles but there must have been two or three about who we saw at several times during the day. However, by the time I would get my camera out, they were usually gone.
I just happened to have my camera out to capture this chap, near the top of Mt. Parke. My only regret is that I don't have a longer telephoto to really get in close. However, I still really like this shot.

Excellent shot, you must have been reasonably close. A longer lens would have given you sharper detail indeed, but the good framing/cropping on this one makes up for the lack of sharpness. It could be a postcard!
