Photographer's Note

Mist swirls around the Pitt River and Polder area, one of the largest wetlands regions close to Vancouver. Home to dozens of varieties of native birds, this is also an important flyway stop for thousands of geese and other feathered migrants that spend the summer in Mexico and Central America but winter in Alaska.
