Photographer's Note
Seems that I"m away from TE more and more often now, but I keep coming back...
Here is another shot from the recent Van Gogh exhibit in Vancouver. The images change about every 20 seconds or so, as they're projected onto the screens, but also onto the floor.
Hope you like this simple shot.

Hello Craig,
I do like it. :-) All the various silhouettes are great, and fun to look at, too. This scene has a very futuristic feeling. I hope you're doing well. Take care!

Hi Craig,
The scene is impressive. The point of view is showing the details of the Van Gogh exhibit. The surrounding light has a special effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

Hi Craig
Work and young kids do get in the way of other things but keep coming back when you get the chance.
Another good one from that monumental Van Gogh display.
This style of exhibition is becoming popular - there is a Monet one in Sydney at present.
Cheers
Ian

Interesting presentation for paintings of this famous artist, original and well photographed with light and silhouettes of these visitors, good rendering, perfect management for the light capture, tfs.

Hi Craig
Well, I'm glad you keep coming back!
Stunning shot with outstanding graphic quality. The shapes of the screens are complemented by the pattern on the floor and the silhouettes are all perfectly placed (did you pay these people to stand where they are standing???). I especially like the couple in the middle - this could even be a Valentine's Day card.
Best wishes
Kasia

Hello Craig,
The evenly spaced silhouettes add a lot to this Van Gogh exhibition shot. Good sharpness and colour and well framed and composed. Tfs!

Hello Craig,
Keep coming back, by all means. We need you! Same idea as the last one but greater variety of paintings, or they're differently projected. Again Van Gogh helps to create an attractive image but it's the silhouettes that really make the composition. Maybe it's the Covid considerations that make people stand so perfectly with safe distances between the couples.
Best wishes,
Gert

Hello Craig, a wonderful presentation from the Van Gogh exhibition.
The silhouetted people are spread so evenly across the shot; they could almost be cardboard cutouts! And you had placed them there specially for your picture.
The projected works are lovely, unmistakably Vincent.
The checkerboard flooring is a good contrast to the vertical screens.
Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hi Craig,
It looks like a great exhibition. You have captured the atmosphere well in this graphic image. The people look like cardboard cut-outs. It looks like you have darkened the shadows so that they have become pure black.

Hello Craig,
It's an outdoor, changing museum of art; surely no-one could get bored here!
Your photograph gives us an indication of what was there in its own artistic way! The art is beautiful, whilst the silhouetted shots reveal the human interest without distracting from the art ... it becomes part of it!
Excellent sense of depth and perspective, too!
Always pleased to see you,
Bev :-)

Hi Craig,
So, I assume those squares on the floor are projected too. It is wonderful to see such big blocks of paintings. Silhouettes of people give very anonymous impression, especially with masks.

Hello Craig,
I like the low viewpoint, which also included the chequered floor. The silhouettes of the people look really good and sharp against the huge Van Gogh paintings. Very well done.

Hi Craig,
fantastic capture here, in the previous one from this exhibition there was more focus on the art. Here the silhouettes of people steal the show. WE also have a hugging couple in the centre which adds a roamntic feel to it.
Not mentioning the great pattern on the ground!
Don't worry, we all have different moments. I was for example much more active earlier and posting every day and now again became busier and I see everybody else showed so many great photos in the meantime.
It is still a great place to visit, I am more worried about the future of TE rather due to negligence of the owners. The sitting at home was actually a great opportunity to advertise websites like TE but of course they didn't bother.
Excellent work here,
M

Hello Craig,
Another great picture of the van Gogh exhibition in your home town. This time with projections of several of his works.
Nice how the visitors of the exhibit are spread over the checkerboard pattern on the floor.
Excellent with the black ceiling and the silhouettes.
Best regards, Paul

craig
the projection of the paintings permit people to enjoy more details I suppose and slices of the paintings as creating new ones. something similar when I take a photo of only a part of one of my paintings and it looks different of the whole artwork. I liked the use of the dark people here. very beautiful.
take care
