St. Lawrence Market, a photo from Ontario, Central

Photographer's Note

IKE has recently posted a photo from vibrant market in Tel Aviv, so I am adding photo from similar market, located in Canadian Toronto. It was not very busy at 4pm.
St. Lawrence Market is a major public market in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located at Front St. East and Jarvis St in the Old Town district of Toronto.
There are three buildings in the complex, each having a different purpose. St. Lawrence Market North, on the north side of Front St, hosts weekly farmer's markets and antique markets.
A public market has been held on the north building site since 1803. Several buildings have housed the building, the most recent built in 1968. St. Lawrence Market South, on the south side of Front St, is open daily, hosting food stalls, restaurants and the St. Lawrence Market Gallery.
The South building dates to 1845, and has been rebuilt twice, and still incorporates a section of its original building which was used as Toronto City Hall from 1845. St. Lawrence Hall is an event and office building on King at Jarvis, built in 1850.

The well controlled lighting contributes much to the atmosphere. The point of view offers an excellent perspective over the splendid array of well stocked stalls. Fine technical realisation.

Hello Miro,
It was not a busy place but looking carefully at the large version I find a number of people that animate the view. Even at this quiet time of the afternoon the abundance of fruits and vegetables is enough to create an appealing photo with all their colors.The signs, the lamps and the red pillars give the view across the hall fine depth. You used the relatively sparse light very cleverly too.

Hi Miro,

The length of the alley is giving depth to the scene. The point of view is showing the details of the fruits and of the vegetables. The surrounding light has a good effect on the colors. I hope tha you had a nice vacation in Canada. Have a nice dya.

Nothing quite like the fresh produce straight from the market and the variety of to be had here and isn't it yummy. A great photo brilliant detail, wonderful bold colours with good atmosphere and pleasantly exposure without flash light. It looks lively even without people around. Nice work, Congrats

Superb supermarket with a wide range of fruits, which give a beautiful chromaticism to the composition, strange that you could capture the image without any person.
