HMCS Sackville, a photo from Nova Scotia, Atlantic

Photographer's Note

HMCS Sackville is a Flower-class corvette that served in the Royal Canadian Navy and later served as a civilian research vessel. She is now a museum ship located in Halifax, Nova Scotia and the last surviving Flower-class corvette. She was launched on 15 May 1941 and commissioned into the Royal Canadian Navy on 30 December 1941. The ship was assigned to Escort Group C-3 of the Mid-Ocean Escort Force on 15 May 1942. In August 1942 Sackville fought a series of fierce actions escorting Convoy ON-115. In 1944, the decision was made to convert her to a loop layer, laying anti-submarine indicator loops across harbour entrances. She remained in this role until paid off in April 1946 and laid up in reserve. She was reactivated in 1952 and converted to a research vessel for the Department of Marine and Fisheries. She remained in service until December 1982, with her last cruise in July 1982. (Gleaned from Wikipedia.)

This Old Lady looks this good in close up! Placement is great giving some space ahead with wonderful water texture -being another strong point imho. Good detail throughout with sense of place Excellent capture accompanied by good info notes. Congrats

PS: Imho, applying white correction is still beneficial for more natural colour balance

Excellent choice of the bow POV, Murat.
Blue water reflection upon its fuselage gave it a superb texture, well collected picture.

Fine capture of this ex-Navy ship with a venerable history. I like the head-on point of view with the stretch of water in the foreground helping give the composition. Well exposed with good clarity. As Abmdsudi suggests the white hull has a blue colour cast to it and would benefit from some correction.
