More Fun with my Drone, a photo from British Columbia, Western

Photographer's Note

I promised a few days ago that I'd have more drone photos to post...so here we go.

This is the Vancouver Bloedel Conservatory, the silver large dome you see.

The Conservatory contains three habitats...Tropical Rainforest, Subtropical Rainforest, and Desert. There are over 200 species of birds inside that dome, allowed to fly freely. There are also over 500 species of plantlife. It's quite the place to visit, not only for tourists but for locals too.

Its very hot and humid inside, my camera lens always fogs up in there, but its well worth it.

You can't really see it, but just beyond the dome and DOWN, is a large botanical garden as well, very beautiful. In fact, this is where my wife and I had our wedding ceremony, outdoors on the lush grounds.

Far into the bg you can see the downtown Vancouver core. On the left is English Bay, where large shipping containers wait to offload their cargo. In the lower half - that's not a parking lot, its a large water fountain and walkways to wander around...the parking lot is off to the right out of sight. I arrived very early in the morning, I wanted to fly my drone before the crowds started to appear.

Hi Craig,

The scenery is impressive. The point of view is showing the details of the Vancouver Bloedel Conservatory. There is a good contrast between the colors of the picture. Have a nice day.

This is a great shot, with so much to see. The foreground is excellent, with the dome and the other shapes on the ground. The distant view of Vancouver is very pretty, and all the greenery in between both sections is a nice middle layer. Very nice! :-)

This is a fairly fantastic photo showing so much and covering such a great distance with perfect sharpness and exposure. The note tells us everything we need to know. Like probably everybody else I really thought the fountain and the area surrounding it was a neatly designed parking lot. I'm looking forward to your upcoming photos.

Hello Craig,

I have enjoyed seeing drone shots of places more and more. With them, it is possible to see spectacular, new viewpoints of familiar places and understand how they relate to their surroundings.
This is a photograph (allied to your notes) with so much information, each part extremely interesting. The dome and its surrounding area looks so spacious and pristine. I'm sure it has very special memories for you.

Hi Craig,
While both your shots of this building are impressive, I prefer this one showing also surrounding landscape and helping to locate the place related to Vancouver city. Triangular patterns of the dome are very precise. Square patterns of the pavement with other items placed looks also fascinating.

Wow ...... superb panoramic view, the breadth of views that can be achieved with a drone is certainly impressive, beautiful design of the dome and its surroundings, large wooded area and the city's skyscrapers as a background, fantastic .. .....

This one is also great. This time you have that amazing panoramic view of the city in the distance.
Drones seem to offer so many new opportunities and looking at your photos I am tempted but sadly I have a choice: go for a trip or buy a drone and of course the drone is getting postponed...

You are one of the few on TE who show pictures taken from a drone. In this situation, we can clearly see the Vancouver Bloedel Conservatory and the city center on the horizon.
Great quality photo as well as colors, light and sharpness.
