Photographer's Note
In the past weeks, Ottawa has been enveloped in an unusually thick, almost solid cocoon of humid, sweltering heat, reaching even plus 47C in the sun with humidity. Time permitting, people either stayed indoors away from the sun, or ventured out to nature to beat the heat with a good swim in a cooler lake. We chose the latter. I met this lovely girl in the Gatineaus, where she was proudly demonstrating me (and my lens) her acrobatics on the hot sand.

hi sasa,
amazing - there is such a photo-freedom noticable here (this is my ne expression meaning that you pick up ANY moment in a right time andconvert it into a tremendous scene);
and - my dear, you keep using d70 plus the kut lense while we all have switched to sophisticated, fancy, advanced stuff TRYING to catch up with you, but hell no, you are the one who has this gift, this talent, this exceptional skill to see things;
my deep respect;
best, j.

Yes, we've had the same kind of weather two weeks ago, and I can't really say if it was great knowing that Winter was way behind us, or if the heat was on the contrary mining our minds, every single physical effort being a pain. She has lovely eyes and a bright smile filled with my perception of hope and confidence. Funny compo.

Great to see this new one from you, Sasa. This cheerful smile by the lake must even beat the 47° heat. Great framing with her acrobatic stance, and nice to have just a few simple details included in the back (the bench, the fellow bathers). The angle of sunlight makes her presence even more radiating than it would be in any case. Nice.

A fun photo and the title is the perfect extraction of its contents. The camping chair and the guys in the background are a nice little detail.

I like her comical action to your lens. And B&W works so well. The upward angle also is one of the good elements of this photo.(especially for a short person like me, it's envious angle..!)

Hello Sarolta,
funny composition and good cropping. Nice balance between the extremities and tilted horizon. Have a nice week. Selam, recep

A brilliant portrait Sasa (great to se you posting again, by the way), combining as it does a through presentation of the girl's character with a keen eye for geometry and using the full range of the horizontal frame. Really quite an ingenious portrait.
All the best from a story Tuesday morning in Tokyo with a typhoon thunerin nearby. I'm off to Hanoi on Saturday, plan to meet up with Luko there.
Cheers,
Francis

Hello Sarolta,
First of your shots I've seen in a while and I'm not disappointed. I love the tilt and wide-angle you've used -- it makes for a great shot. I wonder if you could possibly seperate this girl from the background a little more by adjusting your B&W conversion?
Thanks a lot, Lewis.

Hi Sarolta,
I didn't associate Ottawa with such heat (maybe it's some kind of globalizations in world high temperatures too :))
Great POV here You choose to show not the whole silhouette of the gym-girl... I like her look straight into Your lense and very "bright" expression on her face. Very dynamic scene and this blurred beach ambient in the background is working good here.

maki

Hi Sasa, certainly a differnt Ottawa to that that I know.:)
Amazing that she has the energy to perform for you in this heat. Nice framing to allow us into the background with the bathers and such nice play with the light.
(Glad to see you back)

I like the light, the amazing pov and the Sasa's tilt. Good b&w conversion too and nice choice for the aperture. But what I really love is how you stretched the girl within the frame. An she looks very happy showing her acrobatics to you (and all of us). Nice!
