Photographer's Note
I know...it has nothing devilish, it's just the river's name and I really don't know why it was named like that because it was very nice going there! It is situated on the south part of Mont-Albert (refer:my last post).
For the picture, due to the situation, it was impossible to use a tripod...so I was unable to do a longer exposition without having the whole scene all blurry, plus I would have gotten even more burnt out zones in the water.
Let me know me know what you think about that one.
Cheers,
Marc

Hi Marc,
I like very much your photo. The composition and POV are very good. The light (specially on the water and sky) looks great.
Regarding the exposure... It is not common finding hand-held photos at the speed you used. I think the result is perfect, since it balances the nice 'foamy' effect on the water, and great light and colors. Well done!
Kind regards,
Carlos

Beautiful. The movement in the water and in the sky is lovely and contrasts well with the hard, still linesof the rocks and trees.
I am in awe that you held the camera stead for 1/5th. I have trouble at 1/30th.

Bonjour Marc,

Hello MArc.
Not a bad job, the photo is very attractive as it is shown. The lighting is very nice especially given the menacing sky. I do like the slight blur of the water seeing that it adds movement to your photo and takes it away from the ordinary landscape shot.

Chris

Very dramatic shot, Marc.
Your shutter speed has captured the dynamic action of the fast flowing water but without losing definition and the backdrop of the forest under those menacing grey clouds is superb.

A superb shot where the chosen shutter speed works so well in giving the sense of motion to the water. You have achieved great DOF and I feel the shot is so well exposed to perfection. The colours are also marvellous. A great piece of work.
Best wishes

Bonsoir Marc

This is really good, Marc.
I think the composition is excellent, and I like the effect of the movement in the water. It's easy to overdo movement blur in water, but I think you got it just about right here.
I also like the moody sky.
Good work.

Marc,
amazing how you took this at 1/5 with no tripod. Did you rest it on something? Must admit I accidently took one last week at 1/10 and it was really sharp. Not recommended though. My only advice is maybe crop out the sky altogether. It stops the eye moving up. It's not a criticism, just a different look. See workshop. Fine photograph though Marc,

Mark.

A lovely scene, Marc!
Without a tripod and the exposure is great!
The thick forest in the background looks beautiful.
The water's movement is stunning as well as the details. I like the processing you made.
Best wishes,
Athanasios.

Hi Marc
No tripod and still you were able to keep this in focus. Well done. I see from your gallery you are talented at nature shots in particular. This one is no exception. Good natural colours seen here. I look forward to seeing more of your gallery on my next visit.
Congratulations on your work,
Tosca
