The Large Clock of Montreal, a photo from Quebec, Central

Photographer's Note

Here another sight of the clock of the old wearing of Montreal. With my EOS 20D, I made some tests for conversion into black and white automatic: here, I applied the yellow filter to emphasize the clouds and I convert the whole in sepia. No photoshop post-processing.

Excellent POV and a very sharp shot Pascal, I think the sepia treatment works well. The cotton-wool clouds beyond the tower are well seen, too!

J'騁ais curieux de voir les fameux prodiges de ta nouvelle 20D. J'imagine que c'est le genre de photo que j'aurais pu prendre si j'騁ais all� avec toi dans le Vieux hein ?

Quoi qu'il en soit, j'aime bien ta photo. Le look du ciel me laisse croire que ca aurait fait un tr鑚 beau ciel polaris� dans une version couleur.

Hi Pascal. You did a good job with the b/w conversion. Although it might be interesting to see the original as a workshop if that's possible. You've got plenty of contrast and you had a super sky for photographing.

Very well done. I like the conversion, it works very well. The background adds a nice platform for the tall towers and clock. Very excellent POV to accentuate the height.

C'est 騁onnant cette construction dans cette lumi鑽e. Je pense que sans informations, on serait bien incapable de dire � quelle 駱oque cela a 騁� pris ou � quel endroit. Assez surprenant.

Tr鑚 belle prise de vue tr鑚 bien r饌lis�.
Le mode noir et blanc conviens tr鑚 bien � ce genre d'image,belle nettet� et bon point de vue.

Choix judicieux du n & b compte tenu que les tours sont blanches, les d馗oupant mieux sur fond de ciel avec ce choix. ﾇa donne � la photo un air r騁ro que j'aime beaucoup.
