i were hurry to critic an older photo so seeing this fresh one i must to say that is a very nice with the boat to travel in these muddy waters with the modern buildings on the backdrop,to tell us for the creating progress in this country.
Excellent presentation with the contrast of the colours to be unique.

This is a fine shot making us believe that the boat is travelling on sand!
I love how you have composed the shot; the birds are strongly positioned and make a good, diagonal link to the equally well placed boat.

That is perhaps almost exactly the colour of what we in India call - the monsoons - the rainy season. The moving water actually adds this eatraordinary glimmer to the photograph. The boat and the two birds(swallows ?)are absolutely clear and the colour is well saturated. The predominantly white buildings in the bacground are in the shade of the rain clouds. The light there is really excellent.

Hi Laurent,
Surreal colours really catch attention. Strong reddish tone on that muddy water and dark blue rain promising sky. Also the red boat has nicely different colour. Spacious framing works well.

This is most unique sight, as the eroded soil colored the river.
Also, you managed to take from a POV contrast the town houses and the boat in mid-current. Light and colors superbly collected, culminating to a magnificent photo.

Hello Laurent - This is wonderful! Perfect light that brings out the muddiness of the Tonle Sap which harmonizes so attractively with the stormy dark sky. The white buildings add very good contrast. Great that you have managed to isolate it from other traffic which i am sure must be resonalbley heavy. Bonjour Laurent,
le ciel fonc� et plomb� nous indique que c'est la saison des pluies dans ce pays, et la couleur 騁onnante rouge穰re de l'eau d駑ontre que ces pluies ont apport� beaucoup de boue au courant de la rivi鑽e.
L'effet de sa couleur sous un bon jeu de lumi鑽e et d'ombres, et ses textures, ils nous font penser que le bateau navigue � travers d'un d駸ert en sable dor�.
Mais c'est seulement un mirage, et l'ensemble a une grande qualit� esth騁ique.
J'aime la combinaison de la rivi鑽e, du bateau, l'architecture de la ville, et les deux go駘ands en volant.
Un beau travail.

what a great photo! I like very much the red river in the foreground. Great that you included both the boat and the birds it adds so much interest here. A real highlight is however the contrast of the well lit river with the dark dramatic sky in the distance. The colors are truly extraordinary. Excellent sharpness and visibility. Fantastic work!!

Muddy waters,I have been at one of his last concerts,short before he died.....
Great light and composition with these bird in the right bottom corner.
The exposure is perfect and the contrast with the dark background is fantastic!!!!

Wow, the colors are just surreal. Love the contrasting colors in here, the dark grey clouds surely complements the brown river, seems that a storm is imminent. The birds below is a great element too. Great capture!
