Photographer's Note

Indiana Dunes State Park is located in Porter County, Indiana, 47 miles (75.6 km) east of Chicago. The park is bounded by Lake Michigan to the northwest, and is surrounded on all four sides by Indiana Dunes National Park, a unit of the National Park Service; the national park owns the water from the ordinary high water mark to 300 feet (91 m) offshore. The 1,530-acre (619.2 ha) Dunes Nature Preserve makes up the bulk of eastern part of the park, and includes most of the park痴 hiking trails and dune landscape. This was one of the first places which were considered when establishing the Indiana State Park system. Indiana Dunes State Park was established in 1925 and designated a National Natural Landmark in 1974. (Gleaned from Wikipedia.)

We are looking at Devil痴 Slide in the park, a dune popular with kids of all ages to climb up and to slide/tumble down.

Hello Murat,
It's a scenic place which would be nice to visit even if you don't feel any need to tumble down the slope. This is the "nicest" of the two photos, but the closer view in the WS could also have been a main upload.

A great view of this sandy slope and the brightly green forest behind it. The texture of the sand is nice too and the people are nicely scattered around the centre.

Hi Murat

They do sand tobogganing on Moreton Island off the coast of Brisbane using an old piece of cardboard, although I have never tried it. Works better when the sand is dry and slippery. Tfs!
