Photographer's Note
Gerald Rudolph Ford Jr. (born Leslie Lynch King Jr.; July 14, 1913 December 26, 2006) was born in Omaha, Nebraska, and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was the only child of Dorothy Ayer Gardner and Leslie Lynch King Sr. Gardner separated from King just sixteen days after her son's birth and divorced in Dec. 1913. On February 1, 1917, Gardner married Gerald Rudolff Ford of Grand Rapids, MI. Though her young son was never formally adopted by Gerald Rudolff Ford, he was referred to as Gerald Rudolff Ford Jr. from then on; the name change was formalized on December 3, 1935.
Gerald Rudolff Ford Jr. was involved in the Boy Scouts of America, and earned that program's highest rank, Eagle Scout. (Hence, the statue in the left frame.) He is the only Eagle Scout to have ascended to the U.S. presidency.
Following the attack on Pearl Harbor, Ford enlisted in the Navy. He received the following military awards: the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with nine 3⁄16" bronze stars (for operations in the Gilbert Islands, Bismarck Archipelago, Marshall Islands, Asiatic and Pacific carrier raids, Hollandia, Marianas, Western Carolines, Western New Guinea, and the Leyte Operation), the Philippine Liberation Medal with two 3⁄16" bronze stars (for Leyte and Mindoro), and the World War II Victory Medal. He was honorably discharged in February 1946. The statuette in the right frame is a smaller version of the statue onboard the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78. Created by sculptor Brett Grill, the statue was unveiled on April 7, 2016 in the carrier's hangar bay.

Hello Murat,
Ford didn't make much impression, at least not in Europe, during his time as president. Maybe he is regarded as more important after his death, especially in the light of two others ruling the US after him (who both happen to be Republicans). These are two well taken photos, sharp and nicely exposed.
Best regards,
Gert
