Hi Gregory.
A most stunning shot, a great combination of stark light and shadow with amazing geological formations. This one just radiates bright light, but the highlights are well controlled. The strong earthy colours combine well with the green, and blue of the sky. The close hump of rock bottom left really adds to the sense of depth. Very well taken, a very fine landscape. It would be great to see this on in higher resolution, say 1800 pixels in width - it would be breathtaking, I think.

Fine view of a typical West 'badlands', colorful sedimentary rocks in layers, lack of vegetation, other than the green grasses for variation.

Low level lighting adds contrast and shadows,
