On The Common

And we cross the big pond again and are back in Boston. Here痴 a shot taken near the corner of Park Street and Tremont Street on the edge of Boston Common, which is the oldest city park in the United States, dating back to 1634. It is a very pleasant place to spend some time on a hot summer痴 day. The background shows downtown Boston and Park Street Church, which was built in 1809.

Ik sprak zaterdag op de verjaardag nog iemand die in Bosten, maar ook in Toronto had gewoond. Hij had het altijd heerlijke steden gevonden om te wonen en als hij niet verliefd was geworden was hij niet naar Nederland teruggekomen.

you had a nice light in that moment and I liked a lot this vertical view with pedestrians in movement, the beautiful tower at side and the modern architecture in the other side provided a nice contrast. very beautiful view. a compo well done.

Hi Lars,
beautiful postcard style presentation from Boston downtown. The tower of course adds a elegant old style touch, but the whole composition of the variety of buildings resulted in a pleasantly busy feeling.

Hello Lars,

Boston looks like a more open and less oppressive city than New York. Good sharpness and well framed and composed. The church spire and clocktower makes a good focal point. The people in the outdoor market animate the scene. Tfs!

Hello Lars,

This is a lovely city photograph, combining the details of the buildings and the daily lives of the people who live there. It is almost like two photographs in one!
The warmth of the day is revealed by the clothing of the pedestrians.
(Is the red bucket meant for collections for the guy in the centre of the pavement?)

The buildings are so interesting, showing an eclectic mixture of heights, designs and materials. Your exposure clearly reveals the details of them all!

A fantastic photo with lots of animation on the street and a taste without cars, great hodgepodge of styles and times in the buildings, however the church with its tall white tower and high needle, dominates this beautiful composition.
Very nice color, which together with good sharpness and optimal lighting, gives great beauty to the image.

Een heel goede compositie met heel wat gebouwen die boven deze dichter bij gelegen uitrijzen.
De witte toren schittert in het geheel.
Hetgeen vooral opvalt, is dat deze foto zo levendig is.
Ik vermoed 鳬n van de drukkere pleinen in de stad. Het lijkt er heel gezellig.

again, more city views, i love it. this is an interesting composition because it makes the city planners look silly.
look like the buildings are overlapping and in-the-way of each other and blocking the views of each other. Was there any planning involved here? haha, love the photo though, its great to see these views of Boston, a city i've never been to. bright and sunny day for photos, nice one. cheers

Lars, the street was full of life that day, some hawkers run a stand. The people are walking and cycling. It is surrounded by high buildings, especially Park street church clock tower. Natural colors, neat photo
