Photographer's Note
Well, here in Bergen we have enough of water. We have approxomately 2250 mm of annual precipitation. This scene is from New York. I guess they got their share too. In Bergen we have lots of surrounding mountains that ensure good water pressure. In New York you can see a lot of these water tanks or towers that ensure the citizens a good water pressure.
When I was walking on the Brooklyn bridge, my attention was drawn towards this decorated water tank.

Hello Erling, Yes, you have in Norway a lot of water. And now in Poland it is really disaster with the drought. The level in Vistula is lowest since 1797. Will Vistula be dry?? And it is still very hot, around 38 and no signs of coming rains. So it is very timed picture. Fine original picture.

Hello Erling,
I love NYC water towers. To me they are an overlooked part of the city's fabric. This one is great with a bit of art on it. A view of this tower, together with all of the densely-packed buildings, is a very typical NYC scene.

Ces r駸erves d'eau color馥s paraissent presque saugrenues au milieu de ces buildings....et on comprend qu'elles surprennent encore plus un habitant de Bergen, la ville o il pleut presque tous les jours!!!

Hello Erling
This is the kind of detail I also will spot: in my mind, there is a big contrast between the warm hues of the sky scrappers making me think that it's hot and the advert of a lady in a swimming pool, cooling down, well framed because she is off centered
Best regards

Hi again Erling
Oh i love this shot.
when I was in NYC I captured many of the same type of city scenes. if you look very closely, you can see so many water towers all over the place.
nice touch to have the poster of the woman on the tank, just to spice it up a bit.
gotta love the city buildings too.
cheers

The painted water tank "breaks" the pattern of the urban architecture's design, so typical to NYC.
Fine clear picture, Erling, each window shown syuperbly.
Have a nice Sunday,
Ike
