Niagara Falls, ON in the Fog, a photo from ニューヨーク, 北東部

Photographer's Note

The following morning, I drove to Niagara Falls State Park after my morning meetings. It was a dreary day, and there was a lot of construction in the park. After negotiating through construction zones, I found myself in the parking lot of Goat Island. So, I started my walk in the park going towards the Terrapin Point. This is the view I had of Niagara Falls, ON, Canada across the Niagara River. Behind the mist on the right is the Skylon Tower. On the left is Fallsview Casino Resort.

Ertesi sabah sabahki toplantılarımdan sonra Niagara Şelalesi Eyalet Parkı'na gittim. Kasvetli bir g�nd� ve parkta 輟k inşaat vardı. İnşaat bgelerinden ge輻ikten sonra, kendimi Ke輅 Adası'nın otoparkında buldum. Blece parkta y�r�y�ş�me Terrapin Noktasına doğru ilerlemekle başladım. Bu, Niagara Nehri'nin karşısındaki Niagara Şelalesi, ON, Kanada'dan gd�ğ�m bir manzara. Sisin arkasında sağda Skylon Kulesi var. Sol tarafta Fallsview Casino Resort (Şelalemanzarası Kumarhane Tatilk�) var.

J'ai d馗ouvert les chutes du Niagara en 1970 (Canadienne et Am駻icaine).
Je remarque que tout cela a bien chang�, modernisme, etc.
Le brouillard persiste � travers ces chutes gigantesques;
Les prises de vue sont parlantes !

Hello Murat,
A rather murky view across the river. The mist brings an air of mystery to the scene but there is no doubting the rushing waters of the Niagara. Well managed the difficult lighting conditions.

Hello Murat,
You show us three unusual photos of the Niagara falls, where we don't really see the falls, but the rapid river upstreams, and a lot of fog. The effect of the heavy for and dark clouds above the green water is quite dramatic, but I rather prefer both WS for showing us a bit more of the environment, as well as seagulls and in one case other visitors.

Hello Murat,
A colleague of mine visited Niagara last week and she told me the weather was pretty bad as well. I remember that the boat that sails beneath the falls is called "The Lady of the Mist" or something like that, but I don't think this is what they had in mind with that name. A very nice captured though with the silhouettes of the Canadian side emerging from the fog.

Hi Murat,
wow this is really unlucky. But you have turned it to your advantage.
Great reportage from this impressive place.
I had a different situation there: I was a part of an organized tour and we just stopped quite close to the falls so there was a lot of mist coming from them and since the times were pre-digital I didn't know that most of my photos were overexposed.
Anyway, at least we can see the characteristic tower here.
