Photographer's Note
I visited Lehigh University in Bethlehem (Pennsylvania) for my faculty job interview. Lehigh is very old school, established in 1865. This picture is taken from inside the university's library. A very small, cute stairway inside the library. This library is believed to be the first in the US.

Hi Sothy,
I saw a similar photo to this a few days ago on here - different staircase though.
I really like your POV - the shape of the stairs winding really draws me deep into the picture.
I also like how the staircase going down leads straight to books!Great composition
Thank you for sharing

G'day Sothy,
A sensational image. It is hard to tell quite what the subject is from the thumbnail, without reading the title. It's a great inventive image, in some ways it looks like the iris of an unblinking eye. The detail is so sharp one can see the many books kept here, and enjoy the fine quality workmanship invested in the construction of the stairway. The black and white presentation was a wise choice, it really brings out the contrasts of light and shadow. Well done!

Hello,
Very well seen and composed. I like the fact that you show the books on the book case downstairs. The spiral staircase draws the eye towards them. Lovely subject for b/w.

hello Sothy
Nice graphical picture, I think that B&W is a good choice because it gives a better relief. I like the library we can see downstair.

HI Sothy!
A wonderful view down these stairs.I like how they are framed by this nice grating in the foreground and the books are a good element in your composition.
I think, because of the poor light you post this one in B&W,it works well!!!

Ciao dear Sothy,
perfect POV to capture this interesting image, characterized by the excellent photographic quality, especially the sharpness and the contrasts of light among the white and the black. The effect of the depth is very pleasant with a good definition of the details. Really a pleasant photo, congratulations!
Ciao, have a nice day!

Hi Sothy,
Black and white appears to be the best format for this old library. I like the simple composition, with the circular staircase converging to a logarithmic spiral (more or less). Good luck with your job search.

Dear Sothy,
I liked the circular stairway in your picture. The choice of monochrome is also on target, focusing us on the form rather than the -possibly- distracting colours.
I would suggest focusing more on the stairways thru the choice of -for instance- sepia. The result can be seen as a workshop.
TFS.

Hello Sothy. I notice in your gallery a spiral staircase. Each staircase is somehow different. In this case it is an iron construction. The staircase is beautiful. If you go fast enough down, you can learn the waltz :-) But seriously, I really like the photo. Rgds, Wolfgang.
