I was walking through a city park when I saw this beautiful bird just standing as still as a post on a bush. I walked over to it and got as close as I dared to take this. It just stood there.

I adjusted the levels and added the frame.

Beautiful capture Mark - I would like to visit that park - it seams the birds around here rather shy.

But then again - I got your wonderful capture - so never mind.

Nicely composed and great contrast between the green and the white of the bird. I also like the paklm tree and the left.

What kind of bird is this? I've recently moved down to Florida and I've seen these birds everywhere..
