Photographer's Note

The location is BOOTH, within Richmond, Texas 77469 � named after Freeman Irby Booth (1866 - 1931), the landowner who founded it around 1890, shortly after he bought the surrounding property. According to history, in the early 1890s, Booth went to South Carolina and brought back 30 families to settle his land. Early crops of cotton, corn, and rice were shipped to market via the Brazos River. The local post office opened March 21, 1894. By the early 1900s, the town of Booth had a syrup mill, sawmill, and was serviced by the Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe Railroad, by which sugar cane, alfalfa, and truck vegetables were shipped.

The Booth Public school opened in 1908 and operated until 1947, so, I am not sure if the former students of 67 years ago still remember their school, their classes, and their teachers...

How many of them still survive until today when I arrived this destination?

You are a very good story-teller, Thanh, I very much liked the note attached!
The nice, sunny day you shot this puts the old school in a tranquil, luminous, peaceful air. I somehow sense a warm, gentle wind getting my thoughts back in time, imagining the atmosphere of the classes held here till shortly after the 2nd World War.
Good perspective you chose to show the twin mirror-like buildings.
