Photographer's Note
While living in Southern California, I loved visiting numerous beach towns. Some of them, like Malibu, are quite famous, other like the one which John frequently showed here, El Matador, are hidden gems known only to locals. Each one is different and having its own character. One of the most attractive beaches, approximately halfway between Los Angeles and San Diego, is Laguna Beach. This is to my memory a town full of small charming art galleries with spectacular sandy beach. The picture I show here was taken while laying on that beach, even though it may have been taken in many places.
I suppose this picture would make a great pattern for a ceiling. Especially in the days when travel is limited. Some people were quite lucky and managed to travel before the lockdown. I have planned a lot of trips right now, and airlines like Ryanair or Wizzair owe me already 3500」. Sadly, it seems I will not be seeing this money anymore. Hypothetically they are supposed to refund but they postpone and practically there is no chance to chase them up. They even erase any evidence that some flights existed on their websites. I have also paid in part of payment for holidays in August. Now I am supposed to pay in another 1000」. If I don稚 pay I loose what I paid, if I pay in more I may lose everything.
I have complained that my local park which I have showed here numerous times got locked down. I first thought that it was recommended by the government, but it seems that government recommended to keep the parks open, but it was Mayor of Middlesbrough who decided otherwise. His motivation was that because Middlesbrough is the poorest county, and people are crowded in small houses, they are more endangered. Because they have no space at home he decided to close the spacious parks to which they could go for a walk. Ironically in Stockton, which is a sister town across the river, the parks are still open. Quite an absurd situation.

Good evening Mariusz,
With the clouds pattern above, you managed to combine a special animated picture with the trees.
Colors contrast, bright daylight and superb sharpness wonderfully shown.
My best regards,

Hello Mariusz, sorry to read about the difficulties that you have been having regards travel etc.,
This is a lovely shot, just what the doctor ordered! Sunshine, blue sky and palm trees.
Fingers crossed that things will look up soon.
Kind regards, Jean.

Hello Mariusz,
It's indeed outrageous that the airlines can get rid of it so easily.
If travel ever becomes possible again, I think not to decide too long in advance.
In Belgium, decisions were also taken that were interpreted differently in our different provinces. With a lot of complaints about inequality afterwards of course.
Your picture here would be great to project onto the bedroom ceiling. Then while being in bed you still get the feeling that you're on a holiday.
Wonderful cloud lines between the palm tree tops.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Mariusz,
What an idyllic view of this palm beach! The trees rise up so beautifully towards the blue sky and an attractively shaped white clouds also and the green parts are wonderfully lit also. Great work.

Hello Mariusz,
Oh dear, what a dreadful business, having apparently lost all that money which you had spent for future travels which may never materialise because of Covid-19. What a shame, but I do hope that there might turn out to be some way in which you can recoup at least most of it.
And when I saw this photograph, my first impression was that you might have fallen into a bear trap and were looking forlornly up to the sky! But, thankfully, no: you were lying on a beach. And would that not be a wonderful escape in these worrying and troubled times?
A lovely shot from your archives (it's now almost 16 years old!) but very nice with lovely light and colours, perfect exposure and excellent detail and sharpness.
Excellent!
Kind Regards,
John.

Czesc Mariusz,
Rozpoczyna sie majowka wiec lezymy pod palmami.
Swietna , nietypowa kompozycja z tymi drzewami w roli glownej.

Hello Mariusz,
Your notes seem very bleak!
Lots of holidays have been cancelled and I cannot believe that you will have lost all your money. There will definitely be a problem, at the moment, as there is a problem sourcing money and there is a long list of people to service.
My friend had booked a holiday, which should have been this week. She has received a credit note, for a further holiday with a proviso that she will be able to exchange it for money further down the line. She understands the problems. The family may decide to go on the holiday next year instead. The decision is still difficult to make.
With regard to your photograph, it's an unusual viewpoint, but no less interesting because of that. Lovely natural colours and fine clarity.
In the olden days, many houses had ceiling paintings and these would certainly be most useful on a bedroom ceiling, when you are most likely to look upwards.
Keep safe,
Bev :-)

Hello Mariusz,
Indeed, a photo that can be wonderfully used as a ceiling painting. A beautiful composition that is made even more attractive by the strings of clouds.
You are very unlucky because of the terrible virus. Lars and I had just not booked for our trip to for our Canada and the USA this year.
Strength in this difficult time.
Have a good weekend.
Be careful and stay safe, groet Rob

Hello Mariusz,
I like the clouds swirling in between these trees. The upwards POV makes me feel like I'm straining my neck to look up, too. :-) The interesting tree trunks and leaves create a nice composition. Take good care!

Mariusz, these palm trees are adaptated to the California's dry Mediteranean like climate. The pov from below shows the trunks and the leaves. It creates a pleasant visual effect. Fine colors, good sharpness, interesting photo note, regards.

Hello Mariusz.
Magnificent composition with this perspective upwards of the palm trees, with the sky as a background, its trunks and the fan that form its plume of leaves, creates a beautiful effect.
A fantastic photo, with beautiful natural colors, very good lighting and excellent sharpness.
Well done. I love.
Enjoy, the end of Sunday.
Very best regards.
Luis.

P.S. Mariusz we can already go for a walk of one hour in the morning and another in the afternoon, several sections of hours have been divided,
so that it comes out staggered.
As for taking new photos for TE, in that I have no problem
I am finishing with Alcala and I will continue with Murcia, which interrupted her when I made a stop.
As this year it is not going to be able to travel, I still have to prepare the trips of last year to Romania and Georgia, also another Spanish city Segovia, so I have a lot of pending material.

pozdrawiam Ryszard

Hi Mariusz,
This is just wonderful and so imaginative. We rarely look right up, unless we are next to skyscrapers. The way you have framed this on the bottom and left is great. I get the impression that the angle would be wider than what the lens states.
