Photographer's Note
A photo of the Santa Cruz Mudstone for my Santa Cruz rock series. For geologists or rock enthusiasts this beach is a favorite haunt. The Natural Bridges State Beach has an arch, rock formations to climb on, tidepools to explore, and a fresh water river that flows into the ocean. At the entrance to the beach is an eucalyptus forest where the monarch butterlfies migrate to in the fall.

Howdy Karen,
Understandbly, Santa Cruz is a favorite place, especially going beyond the Boardwalk with your Natural Bridges views.
Your coloring and detail provide warmth and feeling, if one likes rocks, which I do.
Have a great Summer,
and a great 4th,
sincerely,
Ray

Hi dear Karen
A lovely, minimalistic photo. The light is wonderfully warm and I love the patterns on the rocks, they almost look like Aboriginal rock paintings from my country.
Warmest wishes, thanks for sharing
Lisa
