Photographer's Note

The Ahwahneechee called this place Pohono, "Spirit of the Puffing Wind." The wind swirls about and blows the water from side-to-side in a delicate free-fall. Although Bridalveil Fall appears small when viewed against the surrounding canyon walls, it actually has a 620-foot drop, the height of a 62-story building.
