Yellowstone's Clarks Fork, a photo from モンタナ, West

Photographer's Note

This is a tributary of the Yellowstone River named "The Clarks Fork of the Yellowstone". This capture is taken at the headwaters located in the Beartooth Mountains just northeast of Yellowstone Park. You can reach this area by traveling between June and September on the Beartooth Highway. A road is one of the most scenic drives in the United States and criss crosses Montana and Wyoming ending up at the northeast entrance to Yellowstone Park.

I thought I'd been to most places in - but not this beautiful spot. A good photo of the fast flowing river and forest. Great clouds.

Wonderful composition and landscape, the tall trees frame the distant scene so well here with smashing depth of colours which are hugely appealing. The mood of the sky lends a lovely finishing touch to this serene place....

this is so beautiful!
The green water in the foreground seems to be flowing towards the pointy trees. They make such a nice pattern here.
The dark clouds in the sky add a truly dramatic touch here.
Very impressive outcome. This is really a beautiful region!
