Photographer's Note
As the title suggests, even though I've been to Las Vegas about 12 times (i've lost count), there is always something new to photograph.
I know there are many people who dislike Las Vegas, but not me. With all the neon lights, modern buildings, various food options, night life and entertainment shows, its a photographers dream.
Another reason to visit numerous times, is that they're always building something new and exciting, while the entertainers are also changing.
Here is a prime example of that, it was my first time seeing these new "flowers" near the MGM Grand Hotel. They're quite tall, which is hard to tell in the main post, so please take a look at the WS photos to get a better feel of it.
Hope you like this

Hi Craig,
The tight frame is putting the artwork in evidence. The point of view is showing the details of the sculpture at the entrance of the theater. The light is enhancing the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

I very much agree with your notes and comments. There has been much change since the 60's over 50 years. Each visit always includes "what's new or What's gone". This photo reflects something new and different. It lets natural light seem like neon. Nice angle and great composition showing multiple cones with different light holes in each. Great work drt100 David

Hi Craig
Las Vegas is a place that I've carefully avoided and will continue to but this is a great looking sculpture where you've found a great POV to present it.
Cheers

Hello Craig, I belong to those people who dislike Las Vegas :). Maybe it has changed since I was there but I will not check it. But this looks attractive. Excellent composition, original capture.
HAha, Gert doesn't know where I go NEXT. Even LF doesn't know it yet.
How is the baby boy?

Hello Craig,
We missed those wonderful huge flowers in Vegas two years ago (but maybe they weren't there yet anyway). I really like their rusty colours against the blue sky and the different patterns are fantastic. The picture is very well captured and carefully composed.

Hello Craig,
I don't think you could ever convince me to go to Las Vegas, but I admit you have collected a number of fine photos there. The WS with a wider view of this installation, sculpture or whatever it should be called, explains what almost looks like an abstract composition in this view. The "Up" WS is even more abstract because there is no glimpse of the building next to it. So maybe I would actually prefer that shot. But what does it matter? They're all free anyway.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Craig,
Your w/s is useful to explain the towers but this is the shot with the art, the composition and the interest. I love how the pillars diverge at the top, like opening flowers; and then there are these sweet patterns, clarified by the light and the sky!
It's a really beautiful photograph, created by your excellent viewpoint and composition.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Craig,
I know what you mean and I fully agree with you.
I have visited Las Vegas probably just three times but the changes were always so apparent to me.
I know why people dislike it but most people who dislike it don't know it or they just focus on the kitschy aspect instead of focusing an amazing opportunities like entertainment etc. There is always something interesting going on there.
I suppose dancing fountains are spreading now everywhere but I am still impressed watching them in front of Bellaggio. I am not a big fan of eating but I enjoyed variety of stylish buffets next to various casinos. It is like a little trip around the world...
Great photo here by the way showing one more aspect fantastic architecture both modern like the stylized to the old stylish one.
I love it!

Ciao Craig
tre belle foto che meritavano la prima pagina.
Io non sono mai stato a Las Vegas, ma apprezzo molto i tuoi punti di vista, sono sempre molto belli e originali, parti della citt che si vedono raramente.

Hello Craig,
Impressive view on what seems to be the decoration of a theater?
Or are they just standing on their own, as a piece of art?
Fine photo anyway.
Thanks and regards,

Hello Craig,
An artistic approach to these unique arches, with fine view upwards.
Sunshine through the "holes" and blue sky aloft were superbly applied here.
Wish you a nice weekend,

Hi Craig
The three images of this kind of metallic flowers, with different draft each one of them, are very decorative for the street and attract the attention of the public without a doubt, because they are indeed very grateful to photograph, here you have made a good match in your photos .
Colorful, sharpness and luminosity are captured effectively.
Very good composition, great presentation.
I wish you a good start to the week.
Very best regards.
Luis.

You created an excellent abstract from this place, I have to say. Maybe it would have looked better in BW!

Hi Craig,
Well for me, Las Vegas was a worthwhile stopover in between Moab, Utah, and the Grand Canyon in Arizona. My only regret was spending too much time in the city and missing tours to Bryce & Zion. The strip at blue hour was magic though. And yes, these trumpet flower structures are a new one on me. Tfs!

Hello Craig
These giant flowers are not really beautiful like so many in Las Vegas, but they are fascinating and photogenic and you can make a lot of abstract, graphic images with your camera.
Well done!
Have a nice day. Groet Rob

Hello Craig,
What unusual decorations! My favorite of these three fine photos is "Up." Like you, I love Vegas. I've been there several times, not gambled once - and still had great times! 👍🏻👍🏻

Hello Craig,
I've no idea what you show us this time but your chosen point of view and composition are excellent.
The wood colour of the construction contrasts well with the blue sky.
I also like your first picture in the WS very much.

Hello Craig,
I like all three photos. In this main post the design is really accentuated, and those giant flowers look great against the blue sky. I like how the flower on the left is actually creating an extra shadowy pattern on the neighboring flower.
