Photographer's Note
Running through traffic coming at me at 85 miles per hour....pretty exhilarating. But can you see I made it. Why is it that your mind says you are 20, but the old body does not respond that well. Looking down interstate 80 towards Salt lake city. The spaces in the wild west of America are wide open and in many case intimidating to say the least. OK...time to run back across the road dodging traffic. wish me luck. Dang my knee hurts. ;)

Hello Jimmy,
I hope that you arrived safely and that your knees have improved. Stopping from time to time to stretch your legs is good. A beautiful view of this road from the old American west.
Congratulations

Hi Jimmy
Its like you're playing the video game Frogger, but in real life haha...if you know that game its funny :) They have done studies that prove long long straight roads like this actually cause MORE accidents because drivers feel they don't have to pay as much attention. Fun shot, looks great, classic South West scenes. cheers

Hello Jimmy,
Dang my eyes hurt....from the yellow filters again :-)
Boy! you see that exhilarating , traffic coming at you at 85 miles per hour. I wonder how would it be like 'frozen' in the middle of road.
Don't we all feel young at heart sometimes. You do need that cause you've indeed a long long road home. All I see spaces of spaces of wild openness leading to nowhere , the roads just ended in sight. Pace yourself , a rough crossing back through the traffic again, not running I hope?
I feel for your dodgy knee :-) Good luck!
Btw, a great shot regardless all the running you made. I hope you made it back home safely and have your knee examined :-)
Tfs, Loong

Hi Jimmy,
Nice perspective and depth effect with this road through this landscape, nice warm tones, sharpness would be a bit accentuate, a detail, tfs.

Hello Jimmy,
This looks really scary!
Your concentration must have to remain on high alert to cope with these conditions.
There is definitely much to be said for motorways with curves and interesting features, to help concentration.
Your stop, to allow your knees to recover, allowed you a chance to record the long, straight road with a surprisingly huge volume of traffic.
The sense of depth is great and, from the details of the surroundings, I would imagine that conditions were hot, too!
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Jimmy,
Nice picture with a nice story.
Still, I think you're fooling us and you're on a viaduct (for example: 5600 W) and I think the speed limit here is 70 miles per hour. 😉
But I do like fantasies like this and otherwise I'm glad you crossed the highway safely.
Excellent presentation
Have a nice Sunday, Groet Rob

A wonderful scene, well captured, Jimmy. Your shot captures the hazy heat here. I quite like that effect.

jimmy
a nice general view of the highway crossing the desert. Maybe a place I crossed when I visited salt lake city. we can see remains of the former highway at side. here in brazil the big routes in central-western region are plains with an endless horizon, sometimes looks like the kilometres are larger than in my region. haha.
take care
jorge

Hi Jimmy.
Very interesting composition, with the good perspective that the highway gives with those undulations of the terrain and that seems to disappear in the last one, I suggest it will be Left or Right, the background is the arid wall of the mountain.
Well done. I love the picture.
Have a good week.
Very best regards.
Luis.
