Photographer's Note
Unbearable peoplessness of being...
At 130 km. per hour...
If I turn the wheel very slightly to the right... What would happened... Just a little... To the right...
Unbearable peoplessness of the Lincoln Tunnel... If I just slightly... At that speed I wouldn't feel too long...
It's a gentle turn of the wheel clockwise...That's all it takes... Will they recover these negatives... Now... No. Not now... After that bend... Actually - how long is that tunnel... Those films are flammable...I'm nothing more than a jelly cluster of the seemingly organized molecules...
Unbearable peoplessness.. Maybe to the left is better... It's just the hard concrete in there... The bus is full of people... Do they feel peoplessness as well... OK, to the left then... Is it possible to turn the brain off first...
I wonder if the rain stopped pouring out there...On the other side...
.................

Hi George,
"Peopleless" in literal form only. I see an image like this and all I feel is the effect of people. That sense of trepidation being between that bus and the side of that tunnel...the enclosed feeling...the weight of the exhaust-laden air...a sense of manic movement over which I have no control. It all holds for me a sense of ill excitement, claustrophobia and disconcert that equates to "the city" (in a pejorative sense) within the molecules and cells that comprise me. It is these very feelings that make me want to escape to the solitude and quiet of the nearest countryside or the coast.
Cheers!
Bob G.

Hello George,a feeling of tension is obvious here.I understand the feeling, having experienced something similar...will the truck stay in lane or push me out of the way? Vulnerable is the word I think.
The colours shining through the gloom of the tunnel are well captured, especially the reflected light from the tunnel walls.
Tfs, regards Jean.
