Photographer's Note
Between the Bread Cafe was closed on this rainy Independence Day afternoon, as was nearly everything else in downtown Macon that day. It was as if I was the only survivor in one of those horror movies where there is no sign of life anywhere in the big city.
So after I got a few photos despite the steady rain, I went back to my hotel before the zombies came out.

Hello Gregory,
A really nice and artistic composition, where vertical and horizontal elements are nicely balanced. Sharp details and beautiful colors add to the overall effect.
TFS!

Hi Gregory,
Those colorful newspaper racks (?) are beckoning viewers to click on the thumbnail. The full size photo does not disappoint and delivers a nicely balanced feast of geometrical patterns.

Howdy Greg,
Simple but effective view of the deserted downtown area, accentuated by the colorful bins each representing a type of function.
I do not think Georgia has zombies, just big mosquitos?
Thanks for sharing Americana,
Cheers,

Hello Gregory,
I like this view of the quintessential small town US street. Those newspaper/magazine boxes appear on many streets, but what I like about this bunch is that they are all a different color. It creates a kind of rainbow on the curb. :-) It's good that you were able to escape the zombies, too. :-)

Hello Gregory
Closed cafe....Too bad!
Anyway, thanks for the rigorous verticals and horizontals on store wall.
The colourful mailboxes stand out beautifully over the muted colors of backdrop and are candies for the eyes!
Cheers.

Hello, what grabbed me first off is not the caf but rather, the colorful free magazine stands at the curb all lined up in a row. There is an artistic pull of vertical and horizontal lines in the image from the bricks, the windows and their blinds, the curb line, the drain and the door so that it works in harmony to provide the viewer with color balance and style.
Great photo... in a street photography style
TFS
