Very novel way to present the statue, with no skyscrapers behind she seems all the more impressive in how she dominates the skyline while the bright boat balances the view perfectly. Really nicely seen.

La distance entre le voilier et la statue de la Libert� donne de la profondeur � l'image. La prise de vue permet de voir les d騁ails du voilier et de la statue. La bonne luminosit� met en valeur les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journ馥.

Bonjour Serge,

No trip to N.Y. would be complete without a visit to the Statue of Liberty. This is a fine photograph of the statue, perfectly balanced by the yacht. The hundreds of visitors, appearing like dots on the horizon, give a true understanding of the scale of this massive feature.

Bonjour Serge,
you are right sailing gives you a feeling of freedom, feeling of space. I would still like to go to the top of the statue. Sadly when I was there several years ago it was closed for security reasons as it was relatively shortly after September 11. So I just walked around the statue and took off :)

the sailboat with a bright, open sail is also a symbol of freedom (and discipline). It is wonderfully placed in your composition and adds pleasant lightness and movement to the iconic scenery. I appreciate very much the clarity and the colours of your photo. The line on the quay is terrifying, I think I prefer your point of view. Congratulations and thank you!
