Photographer's Note
Harvard University's Tozzer Anthropology Building designed by Kennedy & Violich Architecture. Reuse of the existing 1971 Tozzer Library which had serious mold problems that was hazardous to occupants. The building was rebuilt re-using the existing building痴 foundation, campus infrastructure connections, and steel and concrete structure. A new interior light filled atrium was incorporated into the center of the building. I spoke with a faculty member and she said the light well is constantly changing as the sun moves. Lots of cool patterns and rays of light shimmer off the interior finishes. She remarked that even at night the mirror slivers located in the wood walls bounce moonlight around the space. Located at 21 Divinity Street, Cambridge, MA.
