No, I wasn't dreaming of Mexican food!
Wild burros live within Lake Pleasant Regional Park and the surrounding countryside. They're descendents of burros that escaped or were released from the late 1800s until the mid-1900s. I spotted this one on a peninsula near the boat launching site. When the water is higher, the peninsula becomes an island.
I didn't apply any blurring to the photo, it's the result of shooting through a lot of vegetation, wide aperture, and maximum zoom.
