This is a view of the Grand Canyon from Cape Royal on the North Rim. The pinnacle in the foreground on the left is Mt. Hayden. This view looks west-southwest. The south rim can be seen in the far distance.

Post-processing was limited to contrast/level adjustments and sharpening.

this view is stunning! the feeling of space is great. maybe the sun is a bit to strong, but anyway, thanks for sharing this photo :)

Great shot! North Rim is more remote and less visited. Beautiful place. Nice colours, good sharpness and no mist... Did you make this shot in the morning?

Remarkable clarity and definition throughout. I hope to acheive this same result and not my usual flat, haze.

Hello James,
This scene from the North Rim is seldom ever seen in any image. I like the entire scene, although a graduated gray filter would have controlled the lighter areas of the sky much more evenly.
Do you happen to know the name and location of the first come first serve campground once you leave Utah on the North Rim? I understand one can walk forever on the north side from this point.
