Photographer's Note
On the Pearl Street side of "Mirror on the Monroe" is this reflection of Amway Grand Plaza Hotel.
Amway Grand Plaza Hotel started its life as Pantlind Hotel, whose construction began in 1913. In 1916, it underwent extensive renovations. Fashioned after English Adams architecture by designers Warren and Wetmore, the hotel's special details included one of the world's largest gold-leaf ceilings and two of what are, quite seriously, the world痴 most stunning chandeliers, both located in the Pantlind lobby. After the hotel, along with downtown Grand Rapids, fell from favor as people discovered the suburbs, The Amway Corporation acquired the historic Pantlind and carefully restored it to its former glory in 1979.
Amway Grand Plaza opened in 1981. The reopening of the hotel was presided over by President Gerald R. Ford and his wife Betty Ford during a formal black-tie gathering. Other guests who have stayed at the hotel include political figures and officials such as British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, Queen Noor of Jordan and General Norman Schwarzkopf Jr. as well as celebrities such as James Earl Jones, Cher, Joe Montana, Faye Dunaway, and Jerry Seinfeld.

Hello Murat,
Another well used modern fa軋de that reflects the history of the city. There's a nice view in the WS too, but you used your camera in a more inventive way for this one and cropped it nicely.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Murat,
Fantastic reflection photo, the more classic architecture of the building opposite is distorted so nicely by the modern glass fa軋de here. Very well spotted and captured.

Hi Murat,
Very interesting use of the reflection. The other classic building fills the reflection well and they seem to be merged together. It results in an interesting contrast between the old and new.
Very well seen and captured,
M
