Photographer's Note
Early in the morning on the beach in City of Torrance, California, many surfers are doing their morning exercise. In Southern California, surfing is a year round sport.
PP: Cropped to zoom in the surfer.

I agree - a fine way to wake up in the morning. Not a sport around here - the waves not for this. I like the mix of "different" kinds of water - nicely composed image - thanks Wes and good morning from here.

Nice composition Wes,
I think you cropped it, very well and you captured a good moment. If the surfer uniform has different colour, it would be a nice contrast, but anyway it's a great shot!

That looks like so much fun. It seems like the best way to start a day in my opinion. I like how you have position the surfer in the frame, it helps to give the feeling of motion.

Very good moment you got here Wes.
The surfer in action located in the left side of the photo and the beautiful colors of the sea give you an excellent photo.
Well done.

nice shot here, it is grainy, but I think you took this quite some distance away, but the movement/pose is good and the colour of the water is interesting, well done

Yeah, like Kenny10pin wrote, it is a bit grainy and slightly undetailed, but the composition is very nice. The water on the foreground almost seems to make a natural frame, which is very beautiful. The blue is very nice and deep and I like the action and movement of this photo.

Looks like somebody has there camera back up and running! You had the perfect combination of exposure and f number here. You caught this moment very well. I would imagine the 3 frames second in continuous mode helps get the shot. I see you cropped it out and the picture still has plenty of resolution. Speaking of the cropping what a great idea in including the wave right at the bottom. When are we going to see you out there Wes!? Another great shot and I'm happy you have your camera back.

Very well captured, Wes. The surfer is perfectly in focus and in a very poised position. The water is of interesting hues and very rich and green near the surfer. Perhaps a little grainy in the background, but that does not detract from a very satisfying shot.

My normal morning routine is way from this I can assure. The waves gives a perfect compo to the shot. The clearness is superb. The colors is just lovely, and the surfer brings ACTION to the pic
Very well done Wes

Hi Wes, Beautiful self portrait. You did it with the self timer at 30 min. I suppose. Difficult to time. Nice picture, maybe a little dark. I'll show you in the WS what I mean.

It's really a great capture and not a competion of wave surfing for both. have one similar and the opinion of others is to crop the high. What I think really, is that is very difficult to shot this situation and momment, and my personal experience and also your great contribution and experience to this theme. I made a add of this work to my special personal theme about this nature sport.
Sincerely yours and congratulations, thanks also for your contribution, that is a pleasure to present for all!
Fernando.

Hi Wes
Le cadrage est parfaitement effectu sur le surfeur qui adopte une bonne position sportive.
C'est une photo prise un bon moment d馗isif.
Hi Wes
Framing is carried out perfectly on the surfer who adopts a good sporting position. It is a photo catch at a good decisive time.

The water surface between the waves is wonderfully shining and looks quite slippery.
The movement is very well captured.
You must have zoomed seriously because the surfer face and hand are a bit sketchy.

Hi Wes,
Your crop has framed the surfer well. I like the way you've captured this fellow leaning in to hang onto the wave; good detail and color too.
Regards, Larry
