Photographer's Note
This is Strawberry Fields, a memorial to John Lennon, who was shot at a hotel right across the street. The artwork shown here, the peace sign, was done by a man who makes it his job to decorate the medallion every day. This was taken a few seconds before he scrapped it to start a rose petal heart. He is accompanied by a John Lennon look-alike who plays guitar and sings Lennon songs.
