Photographer's Note

Hello All...
Been a little while...I'm trying to get used to shooting only with film and developing...and printing. Much more time spent, but in the end I'm happier with this process.
So, here we have a steel drummer hiding in the shadows along the main street in Georgetown. To tell the truth I don't remember the sound of his drums...I only remember silence; like I'm in a bubble as I walk around and take photos...that could be my problem. I'm so caught up in the process that I don't pay attention to the life around me. Cameras and composition should be secondary to the life infront of our eyes.
I've found a way, via my camera, of approaching people and interacting with them....maybe not every time, as with this photo (candid), but I feel that people see their own immortality in the lens of a camera...so they want and need you to take a picture of them as they exist alive, right now.
I'm only happy to oblige.

Again, I'm sorry for the quality...my scanner sucks...I appreciate those that said quality is not an issue with my scanned prints, but I'm not totally satisfied.

Very simply yours,
Chris.
