Photographer's Note

Two centuries and the pond is still in place to power the long gone water wheel. Mechanisms to raise the gates to divert flow to the wheels are still in place but the road that crosses the river all but blocked off the channel. Few things built today will last as long, we are fully transitioned into our disposable culture.

Hi Greg,
Really love this composition with the gentle breeze moving over the old mill pond creating wonderful varying shades of blue and green. The background is full of contrasting white and blue colors from the gentle falls. The lingering fall colors add a nice touch to this fine photo.

You have really settled yourself into beautiful country!!! Your note is so true and very sad I think. A very nice 'late fall' picture. We have about 10 inches of snow right now :( I love this blue water! WOW! Very pretty! TFS

Nice one Greg, very nice.
Lovely colors... I particularly appreciate those shades of blue and that red patch running across along the shore.
Looks like a good place for trout-fishing too.
All in all : another fine autumn shot of yours.

Very nice! I am enjoying your rambles around N.E. this fall. Technically everything looks to spot on but I think the image is tilted just a bit to the right. Otherwise, well done.
