Photographer's Note
Well, this kind of stuff seems to be a crowd-pleaser. Give me a shot of a subway rider any day of the week . . . but there you go.
I lied about the tripod, by the way. I just used a soft bag on table.
This photo and yesterday's were taken from The Signature Room, the bar at the top of the John Hancock building -- the second-highest tower in Chicago.
More about the building here.

Great postcard Hugh, and you took it at the perfect time of day for this kind of shot.
For me, the drama is at the top of the frame, where the city lights meet the evening sky, so I'd have preferred it with the framing shifted upwards to include more of the sky, losing that black triangle in the process.
Nothing wrong with a bit of crowd-pleasing now and then - now get back down the subway!
Cheers,
Ben

J'aime beaucoup....
