Photographer's Note

One of the best things about being a student at my uni is meeting and spending time people from all over the world. This shot was taken on Frasier Island's Lake Macquarie, after a few hours of travelling through the island's beaches and sand dunes.

I often wonder, why is it that so many students in Australia complain about life? Its fantastic! There are so many things to do and see. Not that I'm so happy with all that the Aussie government does, but I'm grateful that I get enough welfare assistance to live on while studying! Spending weekends on the islands or rainforest, going out to see some good local bands, having heaps of urban parkland to enjoy, and getting exposed to an international culture.

The good times are now students :-)

Photo notes: Taken on ISO 400 colour film, B+W post processing. Sharpened (my manual focussing is bad!). Haven't yet got the skills to fix the overexposure of the sand - would like perhaps more detail. Any suggestions?
